We are Andrew (dad) and Bennett (papa), a two dad family living in Central Pennsylvania.
We became a family of three in the Summer of 2018 through open adoption and are having the time of our lives. The most surprising thing about parenthood has been how easily we slid right in to our new world. We've known since very early on in our relationship that children were in our future. We moved from Philadelphia to Central Pennsylvania in 2014 to lay the groundwork to provide our future child with a safe, caring, and loving home.
Our journey continues & we're hoping to find a sibling for our baby girl.
Andrew is a public school special education teacher and Bennett is an IT professional at a major public university. Our home is on beautiful land, surrounded by rolling mountains. It sits on the bank of a world-class fishing creek, and is close to schools, community, and the arts. We're excited to grow our family, and to share our love and our home.
Please consider joining us on this journey. We are putting ourselves out there through Facebook, Twitter, and this website to connect with a birth mother and build our family through adoption. We have an awesome group of people helping us including adoption professionals, and incredibly supportive friends and family. Please share our story with your friends and followers to help us get the word out.

Andrew has been incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by an amazing network of friends, family, and colleagues. His story begins as the youngest of three siblings. His older sister Lisa has Down syndrome and has instilled in me a patient and nurturing demeanor. These traits have served him well in his role as a special educator working in a large school district in Central Pennsylvania surrounded by the arts and culture a large college town has to offer.
Andrew specializes in autistic and emotional support. His job is challenging, and he loves it. He spent 8 years working in the Philadelphia City School District before we moved to Central Pennsylvania. He now works in our local school district at an open choice school that allows students to design their own courses and participate in the school's decision making teams. He's honored to be a part of such an amazing group of teachers and work with fantastic kids every day.
Andrew grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs. In school, he participated in student groups, theater, and youth group. Andrew's older brother lives in Northern Virginia with his wife and Andrew's two nephews. Dylan is 8 and Tyler is 7. His parents recently relocated to Lewes, Delaware, and the whole extended family is excited about spending our summers at the Delaware Beaches.
As a partner my patience has served me well as Bennett, who is incredibly skilled and handy, insists on making all of our projects DIY. He continues to impress and amaze me as we work together transforming our house into our dream home filled with love and looking forward to adding many family memories. Whenever there's an unexpected bump in the road with our home renovations and Bennett begins to experience frustration I am quick to embrace the challenges and we are both able to press on with a smile on our faces.
As a father I am excited to put my knowledge of child development and early childhood education to the test as we fill our home with rich reading material, stimulating sensory toys, and musical instruments to create our family's soundtrack. Once again I am looking forward to embracing any challenge and allow my patient and nurturing demeanor to help our family through those sleepless nights and any other challenges that may present themselves.
Bennett was born in Pittsburgh, and raised by his parents in a small town south of the city. They instilled a sense of fairness and equality in Bennett and his twin brother that guides them both to this day. His brother Ted is raising two amazing kids by the same principles that their parents instilled in them, and he looks forward to sharing the same values with our future son or daughter. Bennett's aunts, uncles, & cousins are equally as excited about the future family expansion project. They dote over our little girl and can’t wait for more!
Bennett loves his work in Information Technology and is thrilled to be working in higher education at his alma mater. The area that we live in allows us to participate in lots of outdoor activities including tubing, hiking, kayaking, camping, etc. In the winter, Bennett especially loves working with firewood and skiing.
My parents compassion and caring for one another taught me how to be a considerate and loving husband and father. I love to surprise Andrew with kind or thoughtful gestures. There is this look of amazement that he gives me when I've figured out how to fix something that has broken, or figure out the impossible, that just gives me a great feeling.
I am curious by nature and want to learn everything that I can, and share with the ones I love. Whether it's learning how to do the plumbing for a new laundry room, to cooking a fantastic dinner, or building furniture, I love to figure out how things work and I'll share that love of learning with our children.
Our sweet baby girl arrived in Summer 2018 and we were fortunate enough to be invited by her birth mother to participate in her birth. Our sweet Little T is objectively the calmest and happiest baby anyone has ever seen and is growing in to a curious, friendly, interesting toddler. That smile is pretty much permanent. We’re excited at the prospect of finding a brother or sister for her!
We are blessed to have an amazing group of family and friends supporting us on this journey. Our niece, nephews, and friends' children can't wait for our family to continue to grow, and we have to say that we're pretty darn excited as well! Below are photos of our life together, and our life with our family and friends. We hope that you enjoy, and that you'd be willing to join us on our journey.

We hope these photos paint a picture of who we are as a family. We love the city and the country, have been fortunate to travel, and can't wait to give our children the opportunity to see and do. We are surrounded by an amazing group of family and friends who are equally as excited to support us and share with us as we grow our family.
